Which Erewhon Smoothies Are Actually Worth Making At Home?

By: Ariella Youssefyeh

Erewhon Smoothie

Erewhon smoothies have all the hype right now. It literally feels like we wake up every week to a new collaboration between Erewhon and a celebrity like Hailey Bieber or Olivia Rodrigo. With influencers on our for you page telling us every second that this smoothie is a “must try” or this other smoothie is “totally worth the $20”, which Erewhon smoothies are ACTUALLY worth the time and money spent recreating at home?

1. The Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie

Erewhon Smoothie

If you’re anything like me, you saw that this was pink, saw that it said Hailey Bieber on it, and saw that it was trending like crazy...so you obviously wanted to try it, but you also didn’t want to go through the effort of buying every ingredient and trying to make it.

Ingredients: Malk almond milk, organic bananas, organic strawberries, organic avocado, organic dates, organic maple syrup, Vital Proteins vanilla collagen, vanilla stevia, sea moss, organic coconut creme, and Driscoll's Organic Strawberry Glaze.

The fruit and dates provide you with sources of carbs and fiber, the healthy fats are in the avocado and coconut creme, the protein comes from the collagen powder, and the sweetener comes from the maple syrup which has more minerals than average table sugar.

I say this smoothie is totally worth it. Did I mention it's pink AND tastes like strawberry ice cream? The best part of this smoothie is that besides the essential ingredients that truly bring the flavor (strawberries, banana, avocado, dates, maple syrup) the rest can be completely customizable, meaning you don’t have to use coconut creme, collagen, or sea moss if those ingredients aren’t your vibe, but if you decide the flavor and the benefits aren’t giving your skin the Hailey Bieber glow the way you want, you can always try a different recipe and some of these skincare favorites instead.

2. Turmeric Crush Smoothie

Erewhon Smoothie

“Turmeric Crush” or as I like to call it....” The one that looks like Hot Lava” (because it literally does).

Ingredients: Organic carrot juice, organic orange juice, organic ginger juice, organic turmeric juice, organic mango, organic pineapple, organic camu camu, organic lemon juice, and organic beet juice.

Summer is coming up (technically it’s a few months away) which means I need a tan ASAP. You might be wondering why I’m bringing that up... But I actually mention Summer because of the Tumeric Crush's number one ingredient: carrot juice (known to bring a more orange hue to skin tone when consumed consistently, ie. the perfect addition to your self-tanner ) ;).

Camu camu is another ingredient in this smoothie, tasting like a sour berry that has a ton of nutrients like vitamin C and antioxidants.

If you are someone who enjoys a more distinguished, strong taste... This one is for you!

3. Kefir Matcha Cloud Smoothie

If I hear matcha, you immediately have my attention. Plus, the ingredients of this smoothie are actually pretty simple.

Ingredients: Kefir, Tocos, Organic Lemon, Organic Avocado, Organic Rishi Matcha, and Vanilla Stevia.

Kefir has great benefits for gut health and Matcha is full of antioxidants. If you’re a matcha girly like me and can’t imagine a day without it, this smoothie is worth the recreation. While some of the more specialized ingredients like Tocos might not be worth the splurge, items like avocado and lemon are probably already in your home. For an affordable matcha powder, we recommend this one from Amazon, making it easy to recreate in a few steps.

In the meantime, remember that the best foods nourish both your body and your mind, and a fire smoothie can easily do both. Get creative, include your favorite fruits for some vitamins, a good source of fat, a protein, and experiment!
