Makeup is always looked to as an easy way to improve self-confidence amongst young girls and women however what can help even more is developing a skincare routine to be proud of. As I have gotten older, I feel as if I have tried almost every skincare product that has come in and out of popularity to try to clear up whatever imperfection seems most pertinent that week. Throughout my own skincare journey, few products have stood out enough for me that is a balance of affordability and extremely impressive results, here are my top 8 holy grails.
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser

Something that I have learned from trying different skin care products is that there are very clear places where it is right to splurge versus save on skincare. As I have seen a multitude of
estheticians and dermatologists, they have all recommended two categories which you can really save money on a basic face wash and moisturizer. For me, the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser is the perfect product that has a great balance of suds and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped.
Dermalogica Microfoliant

As someone with dry skin, I have always had a problem with using physical exfoliants on my
face without leaving my skin feeling dehydrated and ruining my skin barrier. The Dermalogica Microfoliant changed my entire skin for the better. My skin immediately began feeling softer and I felt like my other products were absorbing and reacting so much better. Also partnered with the right moisturizer I have never felt like this exfoliant has stripped my skin.
Caudalie Vinopure Serum

Caudalie has always been a perfect brand for me. I have tried a multitude of their products and amongst them the one that I think is extremely underrated and truly revolutionary is unmatched. Caudalie has a new outlook on skincare which makes it easy to develop into a new skincare system and this product specifically stands out compared to competitive products that will claim to have similar results. I have never experienced such immediately noticeable results from a skincare product which has lasted throughout my entire use.
Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid

Retinoids can be an extremely intimidating product to begin using. I have tried 3 different
retinoids and this one has stood out as the most significant one for me. It faded acne scars and reduced the amount of active breakouts on my skin. I do notice that you have to make sure to be careful with other products that you are actively using with retinol, but this one seems non-reactive and like a beginner-friendly product.
Rhode Glazing Milk

Especially when approaching summer I am constantly looking for an easy, lightweight, moisture and makeup base that is easy to throw on as a powerful added layer of moisture. Rhode Glazing Milk is one of the products that gets alot of attention but since it is a brand started by a celebrity does not always get the credit it deserves. I think it is a one-of-a-kind product.
La Roche Posay Toleraine Double Repair Face Moisturizer

When it comes to trying to not splurge on moisturizer I think this La Roche Posay one is the best one you could get. It works perfectly for my skin throughout all seasons which is a characteristic that I find super hard to come by and is extremely unique. This moisturizer is a classic for a reason and is extremely malleable to any skincare type or routine.
Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil is one of my ultimate holy grails. There are so many different ways that it can be
incorporated in any routine. I know that for some it can be a bit aggressive on skin which is
something to keep in mind. For me I have been able to use it as an everyday spot-treatment
and a final step in my routine to clear and brighten my entire complexion, and I will never go
back.
Aquaphor

Aquaphor is an all-in-one product that can be used pretty much anywhere on your skin and feels magical and like a product that can solve a multitude of skincare problems. For me Aquaphor helps me keep my extremely dry skin at bay and protects my skin barrier from recovering from the harsh cold weather, or in the summer the tough sun.
