I’ve been seeing the videos, I know you’ve been seeing the videos– Winter arc, let’s talk about. Sweater weather is upon us! After the summer of mini tops and short skirts, we’re now entering the season (well, most of us) of long pants and sweaters! Not only is this a perfect time for fall fashion, but it also affords us time to work on ourselves. In many TikTok videos, you may see the “Winter Arc” trend– let’s dive into how you can achieve that yourself this winter.
The “Winter Arc” is a concept that means these next three to four months should be everyone’s time to turn inwards and develop themselves mentally, emotionally, and physically. For some, this could be giving time for prayer every day, growing themselves spiritually. This could also come in the form of attaching to a specific workout and diet for the winter to best position yourself for balance and comfort. Here are my tips...
Get Into Skincare (if you haven’t already)
The dry and cold feels of winter do a number on our skin. I know it’s not just me who needs double the products for winter skincare just to feel hydrated. A tip is using a hydrating serum such as hyaluronic acid or a super thick moisturizer like this one!! You can also check out Rhode’s new Barrier Butter for that extra hydrated glow.
Sleep!
My best tip for not letting the winter lag get to you is prioritizing sleep. Think about it, we’re already tired from the snow and darker afternoons, we don’t need sleep deprivation on top of that! Getting at least seven hours of sleep is what will help you beat that cold sleepiness.
Workout & Eat Right
There’s no better time than now to get your health into order than by paying close attention to what you put into your body and how you treat it. Health is wealth, people! Try to tap into some new recipes from your favorite cookbook or Instagram account! One of my personal go to snacks are these homemade banana bars! If you’re eating well, you may as well move your body too. Even if it’s as simple as a daily walk on the treadmill, you will feel better and your body, mind, and soul will thank you later!
