How To Keep Sweat Stains At Bay All Summer

Sweat stains are the bane of a girl’s existence. No one wants to spend their hot girl summer walking around with pools of sweat in their pits. Luckily, you don’t have to. Here are my top 3 ways to avoid pesky sweat stains.

Apply Your Deodorant at Night

If you feel like your deodorant flakes too much, doesn’t dry down properly, or just doesn’t last, try applying it after a nighttime shower and wearing your deodorant to bed. This will help the antiperspirant absorb into your underarms so it can perform when you sweat the next day.

Wear Breathable Fabric

Feel like your clothes are as hot as an oven in the summer? Check the composition labels in your wardrobe. Synthetic fabrics like polyester trap heat and sweat in the body. On the other hand, natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, and silk are breathable and will help regulate your body temperature. If you’re wearing the right clothes, it’ll almost feel like you’re naked.

Use Underarm Sweat Pads

If you have no choice but to wear a long-sleeved garment in the summer (whether it’s for work, church, etc.), prevent any potential sweat from staining your clothes by utilizing some handy sweat pads. These are small, self-adhesive patches you can attach to your underarms that will absorb any sweat before they reach your clothes. You can find this 10-pack on Amazon for $10.
