Out with the old, in with the new. A deep closet cleanout is the most important time when you transition from winter to summer style. Cleaning out my closet can take all day, or maybe even the entire weekend, but it is always worth it when you realize you have so much more space for new summer clothes! Don’t get me wrong, I always keep a few timeless pieces that will stick with me throughout the entire year. Let’s look at a few of my favorites.
New Balance sneakers are basic, yet trendy. You can seriously pair these sneakers with any outfit, making them a definite “yes” when it comes to the closet clean-out.
I might have an obsession with linen pants. I’m definitely saving these from the closet reset. They are so easy to dress up or down depending on what you’re doing.
A basic white tank like this can be such a lifesaver when you’re in a rush to get ready. I love getting sets of tank tops to keep in rotation throughout the summer!
I’m not the biggest baseball fan, but this hat is just so cute. I love wearing hats like this one on those days when my hair is just not cooperating.
Skirts are so fun to dress up in the summer. All my skirts are absolutely passing through the spring clean out. Plus, I love all things red, so this piece is highly recommended.
Blazers can easily elevate any outfit. It’s perfect for spring and is so timeless. A blazer like this is perfect for a summer around Europe, or even grabbing a nice dinner with friends at home.
I feel like I moved away from wearing flip-flops to the pool or beach, and started to wear sandals. You can take them from the pool straight to a nice dinner.
Vests are seen everywhere now. A piece like this is so versatile, making it such a wardrobe essential for the summer.
Long dresses are so cute for summer nights. I love yellow in the summer. This strapless dress is definitely surviving the closet purge.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but a simple black swimsuit will never disappoint. I always find myself packing it in my suitcase and repeatedly wearing it throughout the summer.
I know it can be hard to separate yourself from your favorite pieces. Keeping those wardrobe essentials can make it easier to let go of the items you haven’t worn in a while.
