From Classroom to Campus: Essentials for Back-to-School Wardrobe

It’s so crazy to think that summer is coming to an end and we’ll be back to reality soon. While I am dreading the tests and endless assignments, I’m definitely excited to shop for all my back-to-school clothing essentials. Let’s get into some of my favorite brands and pieces for this semester.

Basic tees

Tank Top

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Garage tees and tank tops. They are so comfortable and soft. Plus they have so many different colors and are affordable, making them an easy pick for back-to-school season.

The perfect jeans

Each year when I start thinking about my back-to-school wardrobe, I get so fixated on the perfect jeans I can wear to class. I feel like the perfect jeans are so difficult to find because they are truly unique to each person. My two favorites are from Mango and Levi’s. I love all the jeans from Mango, and they are always having a sale so it’s fairly affordable. Levi’s jeans are such a classic and I love their low pro in any color.

Layering cardigans

GAP Cardigan

Pro tip: bring a sweater to class throughout the semester. During the warmer months, the AC was always on blast and I would freeze. Then when it becomes colder, I get too hot with a sweater on. I love wearing cardigans so I have an option. There are so many choices like this one from GAP or tons more from brands like Zara and ASOS. I feel like cardigans also help pull the outfit together and can help elevate your look.

Lots of loungewear

Loungewear

I always tell myself that I’m going to dress super cute every day and wear jeans to class, but realistically that rarely happens. But that doesn’t mean you can’t dress cute with some loungewear. I love Sweatshorts from Aritzia. During the colder months, I think these pants from Skims would be perfect for class.

Reliable shoes

New Balances

Arguably one of the most important parts of a girl’s wardrobe. I’d go for a classic pair of sneakers that you can wear to class or walk around campus. I love the Adidas Sambas or New Balance 550. Also, I highly recommend bringing a pair of comfortable boots. I wore my UGG boots daily during the winter. Lastly, a basic pair of black boots will be so useful for going out and pairing with any outfit.

Remember your space for clothes in your dorm or apartment is probably limited so try to be mindful of what you take with you!
